The Steiner family participates in the Monday Neighborhood Farmers market and also owns the Burrville Cider Mill. At the Cider Mill they sell cider, doughnuts, fudge, apples, pears, and local foods from Labor Day through Thanksgiving. The Steiner’s also sell veggies, herbs, and flowers, as well as cider when it’s in season at the Monday market. Their garden this year was planted completely ‘green’, so to speak. They, instead of using a rototiller this year, used their pigs. The pigs will rut up one row and then will be moved on to the next row. It's very easy and also completely green.  No chemicals what-so-ever are going into their garden.

To get to the Mill from Watertown: Take State Rd. 12 south towards Lowville. Five minutes out of Watertown in Burrville, turn right on Rt. 156 (Plank Road). Look for the store on your left as you start up the hill. The Cider Mill is open to public during the season 7 days a week from 9am - 8pm after Labor Day. Free tours are available all season. Larger quantities of fruits and vegetables are available upon request.
