Nestled upon Dark Island in the St. Lawrence among the 1,000 Islands this castle was built by the president of the Singer sewing machine company at the turn of the 20th century. It's modeled on a 17th English castle, complete with secret passages and paintings with eyes that follow you. Uncle Sam’s Boat Tours, Alexandria Bay, offers a return trip and a tour of the magnificent island.
